US Import Duties for HIIVE Orders

If you’re in the United States and planning to order a HIIVE beehive, here’s what you need to know about customs duties, exemptions, and possible fees.

🐝 Orders up to $800 — No Duties (Until August 29th, 2025)

Until August 29, 2025, all orders under $800 USD shipped from abroad (e.g., Germany) are exempt from US customs duties under Section 321. That means no import duties or clearance fees for qualifying orders.

After August 29, 2025, the $800 exemption ends, and duties will apply.

📦 Orders Over $800 — 15% Duty Applies

Orders above $800 are subject to a 15% customs duty on the declared product value.

Example: A $1,000 order → $150 duty, plus any applicable:

• Customs clearance fees
• Local state taxes
• Broker service charges (DHL, UPS, etc.)
